PPI Continues Program ‘Drugs & HIV AIDS Awareness Campaign’

The lifestyle of promiscuity and rampant drug abuse results in a higher risk of transmitting the HIV / AIDS virus. Therefore, education and awareness about the dangers of drugs and HIV / AIDS needs to be done intensively early on. Regarding this problem, PT Pengembang Pelabuhan Indonesia (PPI) took the initiative to implement a CSR program on “Gue Ngehitz, Gue Pilih Sehat” (I’m Cool, I’m Healthy) Narcotics & HIV AIDS Awareness Campaign. This counseling activity was held in five junior and high schools in North Jakarta.

In this fourth occasion, PPI teamed up with PT API, IPC TPK, PT PTP and NPCT1 employees to volunteer for the ‘Gue Ngehitz, Gue Pilih Sehat’ (I’m Cool, I’m Healthy) Campaign to provide counseling related to the danger of drugs and HIV AIDS to around 350 students of SMAN 41, Pademangan, North Jakarta.

PT PPI Corporate Secretary & Stakeholder Relations Dini Endiyani commented, “Through this Drug & HIV / AIDS Awareness Campaign, students can get complete information about the dangers of Drugs and HIV / AIDS so they can take preventative measures. Our aspiration is that PPI can contribute in preventing the spread of drug abuse and participate in developing a healthy young generation.”
